Within the United States, we represent Finn Church Aid − Finland’s largest international aid organization.
We are committed to ensuring all people − regardless of religion, ethnic background, or political conviction − can exercise their right to quality education, right to livelihoods, and right to peace.
Focus on Education
FCA's 71 years of experience indicate that access to quality education is a prerequisite for enhanced livelihoods that contribute to social cohesion and conflict reduction.
Building on the successes of the Finnish education system, FCA works with all levels of society to strengthen and develop better education systems, provide educational pathways throughout humanitarian emergencies, and link what students are learning in the classroom to future employment.

Linking Learning to Earning in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement
Only 20% of refugees worldwide have access to formal secondary education. In response, FCA with Omnia Education Partnerships (OEP) provides vocational diplomas in entrepreneurship for refugees and Ugandans in Rwamwanja. The diploma is an official equivalent of a Finnish secondary degree, and programs are designed to meet the vocational skills required by the local economy, enabling students to find employment after graduation.
